Gyms for tourists in Umeda 2024

Umeda / Osaka station area is a huge entertainment area with many shops, hotels, and restaurants in Osaka. Osaka station is convenient to move around with trains in all directions, including Nara and Kyoto. There are three local gyms that sell day passes to fitness travelers. Most of hotels with gym room have only small space with cardio machine only in this area. So it is better to find a hotel nerby the local gym.

Urban fit 24 Umeda: This new gym sells a day pass to travelers at $19 per visit. Great facilities. Open Mon-Sun 11.00-22.00. See the official gym website.
Recommendation: All gyms are good but Gold’s Gym Umeda Osaka would be the best option with better facilities in a convenient location. Urban fit 24 Umeda is a bit far from the main area but cheaper and has great facilities.

Among the many hotels in this area, my recommendation goes to HOTEL ELCIENT OSAKA. This 3-star hotel has a great value for money and is close to the entertainment area, and more importantly only 2 min to a local gym; Urban fit 24 Umeda
Hotel Granvia Osaka is located within the Osaka station complex building, and very convenient to move around for business or sightseeing. You can also walk to Gold’s Gym Umeda Osaka
If you are looking for reasonable hotel around Umeda area (but close to the gym), then Nest Hotel Umeda is a great option. This new 3-star hotel is only 3 min walk from Gold’s Gym Umeda Osaka
Aloft Osaka Dojima is a bit far from the main Umeda area (you can still walk from the Umeda station underground for 15-20 min), but this new 4-star hotel has a good gym and close to the night life entertainment area Kitashinchi.
