Gold’s Gym is a great gym chain operating throughout Japan, and they sell a day pass to travelers at approximately $25-$35. You need to bring your passport for an ID check.
If you are a member of Gold’s Gym in your own country, you need to ask your local gym in advance if your membership allows you to use the Gold’s Gyms in other countries free of charge. It depends on your local Gold’s Gym membership, but most of the time it is NOT free outside of your home country.
You can find the locations of all Gold’s Gyms in Japan from here. On their store search page, you can switch the language to English by selecting English at the top right corner.
If you are a frequent traveler in Japan and use Gold’s Gym often as a visitor, you can ask any Gold’s Gym in Japan to create the Visitor Card. It does not cost any money and you can avoid showing your passport and filling out the form each time you visit.
Some Gold’s Gyms such as the Ginza gym sells a 2-week pass for visitors/tourists. If you are going to stay long and want to go to gym often, it is much cheaper than paying for the day pass each time.
At most of Gold’s Gyms, you can buy the high-quality protein powder or other nutrition supplement products.
Gold’s Gym has a good reputation with great facilities but it is a bit expensive. In some cities, you can find cheaper options. Please check out from here.
