Fitness hotels and gyms in Narita Airport

Firstly there is no fitness gym in the Narita airport buildings, but many hotels around Narita Airport have decent fitness gyms. So the best way is to stay in the hotel with gym. There is one local gym which sells a day pass to travelers in Narita city but it is far from the airport. Explanation of each icon of color on the map and my recommendations are as follows.

Please note that almost all fitness gyms in Japan do not like to see Tattoo. If you have one, please make sure to cover it during your workout.

Recommendation: Most of “Airport hotels” in Narita are located in the middle of nowhere with 10-15 minutes bus or taxi ride from the airport. In this category, my recommendation goes to Hotel Mystays Premier Narita. They have a good gym and hotel guests can use it for free. Other hotels charges small fees.

Nearby the Keisei Narita train station which is 8 minutes train ride from the Narita Airport, Hotel Welco Narita has a gym even though hotel guests have to pay $10 per visit. It is operated by a 3rd party company called Sky Fitness Club. Hotel price is very reasonable but this hotel is old.

Local gym with Day Pass - Black icon on the map

There is a full-on workout gym in Narita city; Gold Gym Narita but it is far from the airport and train station. Open Mon-Sat 9.00-25.00, Sun 9.00-21.00.

<Tip>In Japan, one day use at gym is called “Visitor”. They do not use the term “Day pass” or “Casual”. As most of gym staff do not speak English, the easiest way to explain at the gym is to say “Visitor” while showing your ID (=Passport).
