Narita international airport is far from Tokyo city area, taking 1.5 hours by a limousine bus or 1 hour by an express train. Around the airport, there are many “Airport hotels with gyms” but they are all in the middle of nowhere (they could not build them close to the airport because of some land disputes back then). All of them have a transportation service to and from the airport. If you are not a hotel guest, there is only 1 local gym selling a day pass.
There is only 1 gym selling a day pass to travelers nearby Narita Airport.
Anytime Fitness Narita Airport: Anytime Fitness is normally for members only but this gym sells a day pass to all travelers at JPY2,000 per visit (Cash only). There is a free shuttle bus from the 2nd and 3rd terminals, going to a hot spring bath facility nearby called “Sora no yu” which is 24hrs open and costs about JPY1500 per visit and Anytime Fitness is located in the same building.

Recommendation: If you want to have a decent workout before flying out, it would be better to do so before going to Narita Airport (while you are still staying in Tokyo or somewhere). Or if you have 3-4hrs of free time at the airport for transit etc… then going to Anytime Fitness Narita Airport and taking a hot spring bath after that is a great idea !
To avoid embarrassment and disappointment at the gym, please read this Tips and etiquette before going to the gym in Japan.
All “airport hotels” in Narita is not in convenient location but they all have free shuttle bus from the airport. If you are looking for a low-mid range hotel with a gym, HOTEL MYSTAYS PREMIER Narita is a good option. It has a decent gym (open 8.00am-10.00pm). Check out the review and price !
