Hiroshima is a very popular tourist area in Japan with the Atomic bomb dome, Hiroshima Castle, Itsukushima Shrine etc…. There are three convenient areas to stay in Hiroshima for fitness travelers. First area is Hiroshima train station area. All transportation for business or holidays goes through this main station. Second area is the Atomic bomb dome area. There are a few local gyms that sell day passes in this area, and there are a handful of hotels within a 10 min walk of this gym. The third area is Hiroshima Castle area. There is a public gym selling a day pass. In total, there are 4 local gyms that sell a day pass to travelers. See my recommendations below the map.

Recommendation: Gold Gym Hiroshima Pasela is the best in terms of facility and location for fitness travelers.
In 2022 ANA CROWNE PLAZA Hiroshima replaced their old fitness room with the Anytime Fitness and hotel guests can use it for free (without Anytime Fitness membership). It is within the same building and super convenient for fitness travelers!
Opened in October 2022, Hilton Hiroshima is a great option. It has a good fitness room and hotel guests can use it for free.
If your stay in Hiroshima is short, it might be better to stay close to Hiroshima station which is a transportation hub in Hiroshima. It is convenient to go to all tourist spots in Hiroshima. Nearby the station, my recommendation goes to Daiwa Roynet Hotel Hiroshima-ekimae. This contemporary 4-star hotel has a fitness centre (no weights). It has also 2 shared washing machines for hotel guests to use. Check out the review and price from here.
