Recommendations: Ray Fitness Studio is a good option for travelers in this area. It is new and has great facilities in a convenient location and its day pass is reasonable price with JPY2200.
Courtyard by Marrott Osaka Honmachi opened in 2019 and has a good gym. This is a business area, and hotel location is very good with a 1 min walk to Sakai Honsuji train station, from which you can go anywhere in Osaka. Also, if you want a full-on workout with heavy weights, you can still walk to a local gym that sells day passes to travelers; Ray Fitness Studio in 3 min.
If you want to stay close to the entertaiment area of Shinsaibashi as well as a local gym, Osaka Excel Hotel Tokyu is a great option. This new hotel is conveniently located being close to Honmachi station (2 min walk), Entertaiment area (5 min walk) and more importantly, Powerhouse Gym Osaka (in 6 min walk). It has a small gym room for casual workout as well.
Another good option for fitness travelers in this area is City Plaza Osaka. This 4-star hotel does not have a gym, but hotel guests can use the local gym in the same building at a cost of $28 per visit. You can also walk/jog to the most popular tourist spots in Osaka: Osaka Castle. Check out the review and price from here.
