Gyms for tourists in Roppongi 2024

Tokyo >> Roppongi

Roppongi is a popular area for nightlife, with many restaurants and bars. This area is also upmarket, and local gym day passe is very expensive. probably the most expensive day pass in Japan! If you are a fitness traveler and not a luxury traveler, then it would be better to avoid staying in this area. See my recommendations below the map.

Below gyms (Red icons on the map) sell a day pass to travelers in this area. Roppongi is an upmarket area, and all gyms are very nice, but its day pass price is very expensive (from $50 per visit) compared with other area in Tokyo.

Data Fitness: Open Mon-Fri 10.30-22.30, Sat-Sun 8.30-18.30. Day pass costs $55 per visit. See the official gym website.

All fees are calculated US$1=100 e.g.,$20 = 2,000 yen) for convenience. To avoid embarrassment and disappointment at the gym, please read these Tips and etiquette before going to the gym in Japan.

Recommendation: All gyms are great, but they are the most expensive gyms in Tokyo. Many rich and celebrities go there. It would be better to find a hotel with gym (see below recommendations)

Roppongi is an upmarket area, and many hotels are expensive. However, this 5-star hotel is still reasonable in comparison with others (I call it 4.5-stars). Mitsui Garden Hotel Roppongi Tokyo Premier is in the middle of Roppongi and has a small fitness room with some cardio machines. Most importantly, it is right next to Data Fitness. You can walk there in 1 min. Check out the review and price from here.
