Gyms for tourists in Ginza 2024

Tokyo >> Ginza

Tokyo Station and the Ginza district are the most popular tourist destinations in Tokyo because they are very convenient for travelling throughout Japan, with numerous trains, shops, and restaurants. On the west side, there is a popular tourist spot; Imperial Palace, and on the east and south sides, it is a huge entertainment area. When you search for hotels with gyms on a hotel booking website, you may find many, but most of them are so small that only 1 or 2 people can comfortably do exercise. I had many occasions to give up using it because it was already full (with 1 or 2 people! ). So, If you want to be sure of your workout routine, it is better to stay at a hotel nearby a local gym that sells day pass to travelers. There are 4 local gyms selling a day pass in this area, and there are many reasonably priced hotels within walking distance. See my recommendations below the map.

Among the many hotels in this area, my recommendation in 3-4-star hotel category goes to Daiwa Roynet Hotel Ginza (green icon on the map). This 4-star hotel is in a quiet street in busy Ginza area. It is also in convenient location. Within 10 minutes, you can walk to many train stations, including Ginza, Yurakucho, Ginza-ichome, and Tokyo. You can move around in Tokyo in all directions easily from this hotel. Most importantly, it is only a 5 min walk to Gold’s Gym Ginza Tokyo

The Royal Park Canvas - Ginza 8 is also a great 4-star hotel option. Located at the end of Ginza area, it is close to a popular entertainment area called Shinbashi where you can find many small bars and restaurants. It is also convenient as you can walk to Ginza station as well as Shinbashi station, from which you can go to most of business and tourist areas in Tokyo. This hotel has a small gym room. If you want only cardio exercise, it might be ok. If you want a full workout, you can walk to Gold’s Gym Ginza Center in 10 min. There are also shared washing machines for hotel guests. If you are a Anytime Fitness member in your home country, then you can use Anytime Fitness Higashi-Ginza for free. It is only 5 min walk from this hotel.

Among the many hotels I stayed at in this area, considering the value for money, Tokyu Stay Ginza is a great option. This 3-star hotel has a quality of 4-star. Great location, some rooms are more spacious and have washing machines and microwaves inside the room (this is rare in the Ginza area). These rooms are more expensive than standard room but it would be still cheaper than many other hotels in Ginza in terms of room size comparison. And most importantly, you can walk to Gold’s Gym Ginza Center in 10 min. Check out the price and review from here.
