Tokyo >> Shinagawa
Shinagawa is a big transportation hub in Tokyo, with many trains going in all directions. For this reason, there are many hotels and restaurants around the station. So it is a good area for business people who move around a lot. For fitness travelers there are 4 local gyms in this area, but all of them are a bit far from the Shinagawa's main area. You need to take a train for 1-2 stops. Shinagawa is a business friendly area but not fitness friendly! If you are an Anytime Fitness member, there are 2 Anytime Fitness.

Recommendation: If you want to stay close to Shinagawa Station, Locok Wellness Garden is the best option. Although the day pass is a bit pricey at JPY 4,400, the facility is relatively new (opened in 2023) and includes both a gym and a pool. The gym is open from 9:00 to 22:00, and the pool from 10:00 to 14:00. It’s about a 15‑minute walk from Shinagawa Station, and there are several hotels in the surrounding area, making it a convenient choice for travelers who want solid fitness amenities nearby.

In this area, there are 2 gyms in convenient locations as follows (Purple icons on the map).
Recommendation: If you are staying at hotel near Shinagawa train station, Anytime Fitness Takanawadai is a good option. You can jog to the gym in 10 mins. There are some hotels in this area.
Except for high‑end hotels, the only hotel in Shinagawa with a genuinely good gym is the Shinagawa Prince Hotel. This well‑priced 4‑star hotel offers a newly renovated fitness facility for guests. Because Shinagawa has limited mid‑range options with convenient access and proper gym amenities, this hotel is an excellent choice for fitness‑focused travelers. Be sure to check the latest reviews, prices, and location details.
